Each ethnic group has its own food, cuisine, and culinary culture practices in addition to language, belief, and religion. Every ethnic celebration has historically had food and drink as a key component, with a variety of cooking techniques, utensils, and dining manners. However, it is considered that the waves of industrialization have altered or transformed a large portion of the riches of ethnic festival dishes. This book focuses on a qualitative research on how much modernity has affected Malaysian ethnic festival meals and foodways, as well as how it has affected the behaviors of the younger generation.
