Preparation: In refrigerator, soak 1 lb. (454 g) of salted fish in 6 cups (1.5 liters) of fresh water for 24 hours, changing the water three times. Longer soaking or more frequent changing of the water will further decrease the salt content. Cook according to your favorite recipe.
Store in refrigerator.
