This book was originally published in picture book format, which is suitable to the length of its text; converting it into a board book is questionable, as most of that intended audience won’t be able to sit for the long poems. This reviewer also found it odd that the first poem talks about Mommy staying at preschool (though the child eventually sends her home), which will set up unrealistic expectations for children who are just starting preschool. The rhyming text covers typical preschool activities, with one poem for each, including daily activities like playtime, and seasonal activities like watching caterpillars transform into butterflies in the spring. Many diverse characters are portrayed in the colorful and engaging digital illustrations. The writing is playful and the rhymes are simple, making for a nice read aloud for children ages 3-5.
For the babies who are recently started going to school, this book is really for them. This book by David j steinberg is written about the excitement of going to preschool which make children more excited. So this book is really awesome
This Book is Grammy-nominated for national touring.
