Keep frozen. Cooking suggestions: La Fe arepas should be defrosted before cooking. For best results, thaw La Fe arepas in refrigerator or at room temperature. Microwave can also be used. Open one end of the plastic wrap, place on a microwave-safe tray, and set on a defrost mode for 2 minutes, or until thawed. Place the lighter side of the La Fe arepa down first on a non-stick teflon pan or skillet. Set range top or hot plate at medium/high heat or 375 degrees F. If you wish, you may melt half a teaspoon of butter or margarine. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until cheese starts to melt. Turn over the La Fe arepa and cook until golden brown. Remove and let stand 2-3 minutes before serving as the La Fe arepa is very hot.
