Stove Top Instructions: In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 3-1/4 cups (26 oz.) of water to a boil. Add 2 Tbsp. of Vigo Olive Oil or butter (optional), then one package of Vigo Black Beans & Rice, stirring while boiling for one minute. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 20-25 minutes. Fluff and serve. Microwave Directions: Combine contents of this package, 3 & 1/2 cups hot tap water and 2 tablespoons Vigo Olive Oil or butter (optional) in a 1-1/2 quart microwave casserole dish. Cover and microwave on high for 22 minutes. Stir. Let stand, covered for 5 minutes. Serve. For a Latina Touch: Season Vigo Black Beans & Rice much like a salad. Top with Vigo olive oil, red wine vinegar and chopped onions.
