1 cup of water, 1/3 cup of softened butter or margarine, and 3 eggs are all you need. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Dust the pan with flour and shortening, or lightly coat the bottom of the pan with cooking spray to prevent the cake from sticking.In a large bowl, blend cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until moistened. Whisk by hand for two minutes or beat with a mixer on medium speed for two minutes. See the Baking Times listed below. Your cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool for ten to fifteen minutes before removing it from the pan. Before frosting, let the cake cool completely. Store Covered Loosely.
