Directions

Conventional Cooking: 1. For 1/2 Bag - Place frozen Broccoli Rabe and 2/3 cup water into a 1 quart sauce pan. 2. For Full Bag - Place frozen Broccoli Rabe and 3/4 cup water into a 2 quart saucepan. 3. Cover, place on High heat and bring to a rapid boil. Replenish water when necessary. 4. Stir, reduce heat and simmer covered, 30-35 minutes (For 1/2 bag, less 10 minutes) or to desired tenderness. Stir frequently through cooking time. Replenish water when necessary. 5. Drain, season to taste and serve . Keep frozen until ready to use. If thawed, cook promptly. Store at 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C) or lower. Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed. Microwave Cooking: 1. Pour desired quantity of frozen Broccoli Rabe with water, into a casserole dish, following the directions in the chart. 2. Cover and cook the recommended time or to desired tenderness, stirring once about midway through the cooking period. 3. Season to taste, stir, cover, and allow to stand a few minutes before serving. Chart: 1 Serving (about 3 oz - casserole size 1 pt) - Add 3 tbsp water, 3-4 minutes cooking time; 3 Servings (about 9 oz - casserole size 1 pt) - Add 1/4 cup water, 6-7 cooking time; 5 Servings (about 16 oz - casserole size 1 1/2 1 qt) - Add 1/3 cup water, 9-10 minutes cooking time. Times may vary from one microwave to another.
