Servings: 2; 1/3 box pasta; 2 qt water; 1 tsp salt. Servings: 3; 1/2 box 3 qt; 2 tsp salt. Servings: 6; full box pasta; 5 qt water; 1 tbsp salt. 10 min aldente; 11 min firm; 12 min tender. 1. Bring water to a boil. Add salt to taste. 2. Add pasta and stir; return to rapid boil. Cook uncovered for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Drain well and serve as desired. Maintaining Perfect Pasta: To keep cooked pasta fresh for later use, toss with a small amount of olive oil and refrigerate.
