Microwave Directions: 1. Empty packet into deep microwave-safe bowl. 2. Add up to 2/3 cup of water, stir. Oatmeal must be prepared with water*. 3. Adjust microwave setting to 50% power. 4. Microwave for 2-1/2 - 3 minutes**. Caution: Bowl will be hot. 5. Stir well and wait 2 - 3 minutes for oatmeal to thicken before serving. * To avoid boil over, refrain from adding milk until after cooking. ** Instructions are based on 1100 watt microwave. Additional cook time required for lower wattage microwaves. Alternative Stove Top Preparation: 1. Boil up to 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. 2. Stir in contents of pouch, and reduce to medium. 3. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. 4. Remove oatmeal from saucepan, allowing 2-3 minutes to cool and thicken.
