Ways to Heat Plaintains: Oven: Place in oven @350 degrees F and cook for 8-10 minutes. Pan: Add 1 tbsp oil/butter per serving over medium heat and cook until tender. Microwave: Place in microwave for 3-5 minutes.
Make your own: Plantain Smoothie: 1 cup of plantains, 1 cup of dragon fruit, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 tbsp of honey. Combine recipe in a blender for 30-45 seconds. Plantain Side Dish: Heat 1 cup plantains in the oven, skillet or microwave. Follow heating directions below. Plantain Dessert: Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat, then mix in 1 tbsp of brown sugar. Add 1 cup of plantains and stir to coat with sugar. Cook until plantains are tender. Top with vanilla ice cream.
