Directions
Stove Top: Servings 1: 1/2 cup oats; serving 2: 1 cup oats. Servings 1: 1 cup water or milk (For thicker oatmeal, use less water. For thinner oatmeal, use more water); Serving 2: 1-3/4 cups water or milk (For thicker oatmeal, use less water. For thinner oatmeal, use more water). Servings 1: Dash salt (optional) (For low sodium diets, omit salt); servings 2: 1/8 tsp salt (optional) (For low sodium diets, omit salt). Stove Top: 1. Boil water or milk and salt. 2. Stir in oats. 3. Cook about 1 minute over medium heat; stir occasionally. Microwave: Servings 1:1/2 cup oats; servings 1: 1 cup water or milk (For thicker oatmeal, use less water. For thinner oatmeal, use more water). Servings 1: Dash salt (optional) (For low sodium diets, omit salt). Microwave: 1. Combine water or milk, salt and oats in a microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes. 3. Stir before serving. Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Note: Microwaves vary in power.
