Wheat Bran is the outer layer of the wheat kernel and a good source of dietary fiber, particularly insoluble fiber. Enjoy its nutty flavor in baked goods like bran muffins, quick breads or cookies, or sprinkle over casseroles and cobblers before baking.

Toasted wheat bran. Toasting wheat bran gives it an especially nutty flavor and crunchy texture. Set oven to 350 degrees F. pour wheat bran in a thin layer on a baking sheet and bake, about 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly browned. Wheat bran browns quickly; keep a close watch.
Store in a cool, dry place. Keeps best refrigerated or frozen after opening.
