Insulated Food Carrier Care and Use Instructions. Please Read and Save: Food handling and preparation procedures. Always follow safe and proper food handling and preparation procedures. Hot foods must be properly prepared and thoroughly cooked in the baking vessel prior to transporting. To prevent food spoilage, cold foods must be prepared and chilled in the dish to 40 degrees F (4.4 degrees C) or colder before being placed in the insulated carrier. Allow enough time after food preparation to thoroughly chill prior to transporting. if possible, upon arrival at your destination, refrigerate cold foods until served. The plastic cover must be used on the dish when placed in the carrier. The glass cover (if applicable) may be used to cook or serve the food. Do not use the glass cover during transporting since breakage may occur. Plastic covers do not totally seal the dish. Liquid from over-filed dishes may leak. The insulated carrier should be held as level as possible during transporting. Hot food should be at the appropriate temperature when placed in the carrier. We recommend waiting 10 minutes after removing your ovenware from the oven before placing the cover on the dish and into the tote. Use care when removing the plastic lid from heated foods as condensation may form on the underside of the plastic cover. Do not place sharp serving utensils inside the carrier that can cut and damage the interior or scratch and damage the glass dish. Insulated Carrier Cleaning Instructions: Use mild soap. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Rinse with clean, damp cloth or sponge and allow carrier to thoroughly dry prior to storage.
