The dual-SIM Galaxy Grand has the same dual-core chipset as the Galaxy S II Plus, which was just announced.
Switching from Exynos to Broadcom appears to be a little performance hit, but as we observed on the S II Plus, the improved power economy more than compensates. In fact, when combined with the poor (by today's standards) screen resolution, the Galaxy Grand could become one of the most durable smartphones available. Oh well, that's at least one redeeming feature of a screen with the pixel density of a low-end HVGA device - the Galaxy Mini II should serve as a good benchmark. The resolution (480 x 800 pixels) is plainly stretched thin by the large 5" diagonal.
Apart from that, there isn't much else wrong with a device that plainly belongs in the middle of the spectrum.
Because of Android Jelly Bean and the latest TouchWiz, the Galaxy Grand boasts some advanced features.
The build quality is above average, and the battery life appears to be promising - a key feature for a dual-SIM phone.
