Currently, we are dealing with one of the most challenging epidemics of all time. The COVID-19 virus came back, and it looks like it is here to stay. China recorded the first case of the deadly virus in December 2019, in the city of Wuhan. In only eight months of recording its first case, the virus spread in around 200 countries all over the globe.

A coronavirus is a mutated form of the common cold virus. If you contract the virus, you start to suffer from COVID-19, which is a type of respiratory disorder.

According to most reports, people with a sound immune system can recover from the virus without any medical assistance.

COVID-19 Treatments

Sadly, scientists have not come up with a COVID-19 vaccine yet. However, the good news is the death rate of the virus is very low. According to reports, most people recover from the infection without medical assistance.

Most medical facilitators discourage people from coming to hospitals if they are suffering from mild COVID-19 symptoms.

Nevertheless, if you have contracted the virus from somewhere, you can overcome it by taking a few precautionary measures. The first measure you need to take is to maintain a safe distance from your loved ones. Quarantine yourself in a room with a washroom, and try not to leave the room unless necessary.

Make sure that you keep track of all your symptoms, especially your fever. If your situation worsens, call your nearest doctor immediately. During your sick days, try staying as hydrated as possible, and take your health supplements.

In case you have a medical reservation with your doctor, inform the doctor that you are suffering from the coronavirus right now. Still, make sure to stay in touch with your regular doctor and keep updating them about your health.

How to Protect Yourself from COVID-19

You must know about the famous saying, prevention is better than cure. In COVID-19’s case, it is the only way to go because a cure has not been found-yet.

The first thing you need to do to protect yourself from the virus is to keep yourself clean. Make sure to keep track of your hygiene habits; and also that you are washing your hands continuously, and for 20 seconds each time, you wash.

In the next level, you need to keep your surroundings clean. You can do that by scrubbing and disinfecting commonly used items, surfaces, and spaces.

The next thing you need to do is limit your contact with the outside world. In this case, quarantining yourself inside your home is the best call. Try to work from home if you can.

You should keep track of your health. Check your temperature in the morning and at night. If you feel a slight irregularity in your health, start hydrating heavily. People have stated that they are taking supplements like vitamin C, vitamin D, folic acid, fatty acids, Omegas, and other immunity-boosting vitamins. Whether these supplements provide any help in fighting COVID-19 is still up for debate, but taking your daily vitamins is still very important for your overall health.

Since you are in a home quarantine, make sure that nobody brings their slippers inside the house. Sandals carry an enormous number of germs and viruses.

How to Disinfect Various Parts of your Home

Disinfecting has become an essential part of our lives during the quarantine. However, many people still do not know how to purify the high-touch points of their house effectively.

Floor Disinfection

Your floor contains more germs and viruses than all the other items at your house. Therefore, you need to use harsh chemicals to clean your floorings. However, a natural and mild way to disinfect your floor is by mixing one cup of vinegar into a gallon of water. Later scrub your flooring with the solution.

Disinfecting Switches

Every member of your house touches the switches at least once throughout the day. The best way to disinfect your switches is by making a solution with dish soap and water. Dip a small corner of a washcloth in the solution and carefully clean the switch.

Later, use a dry corner of the cloth and wipe the switch so that there is no water left on it.

Disinfecting Remote

The remote is another high touchpoint in your house. The best way to clean your remote controller is with a soap and water solution.

First, you need to clean the entire remote as you would clean the switches. Later, take a toothpick and clean the tiny crevices of the remote controller with it. In the next step, take a cotton swab and dip the swab in the water and soap solution. Later, scrub the corner of the buttons on the controller.

Disinfection the Chair

Disinfecting your chairs is another crucial thing to do. You can make a soap water solution. Take a washcloth, dip the entire thing in solution, and scrub the chair with the cloth. Then, take a toothbrush, dip it in the soapy solution, and rub the small corners of the chair with this brush. When the chair is clean, take a dry washcloth that soaks up all the excess water from the chair. Later you can use a disinfectant spray all over the chair to ensure that the chair is germ-free.

Final Feedback

Until now, we do not have a cure for the deadly virus. However, you can take a few simple precautions and save yourself from the dangers of the infection.
